About Laurie

Laurie is a kind, passionate, and mindful pediatric physical therapist who has been practicing since 2001. She was the first PT at MLee Therapy and each of The Children’s Therapy SPOT clinics, located in Four Points and Georgetown.

In the first half of her career, Laurie thrived in full-time practice while also dedicating herself to community service. She is the co-founder of the Down Syndrome Association of San Antonio (1998), the founder and previous president of Capitol City AMBUCS (2007), and a longtime volunteer with therapeutic horseback riding programs.

The second half of Laurie’s career has been a fulfilling balance of raising her son, nurturing her professional path, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and embracing the joys of family life. In October 2024, she rejoined the MLee family after completing a training course on neuroplasticity. This experience inspired her to embrace a renewed approach to therapy—one that fosters confidence, joy, and engagement in children and their families.

As a parent whose child received Occupational and Speech Therapy at MLee years ago, Laurie holds a deep appreciation for the compassionate, consistent, and high-quality care provided at all three clinics. Her journey as both a parent and professional gives her a unique perspective and heartfelt commitment to the families she serves.
